Kenneth Coleman, Sr., age 78, of Kansas City, Missouri, peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended the Kansas City Public School System and proudly graduated from Central High School. A dedicated and hardworking man, Kenneth spent many years employed at The Kansas City Star, where he built lasting relationships before retiring after a long and fulfilling career. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, DeBorah Coleman, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together they raised three children: Kenneth Coleman, Jr., Krissie Coleman, and Kelly Coleman. He deeply loved his family and found joy in spending time surrounded by those he held dear. Kenneth was known for his warm spirit, steady presence, and his love for watching football on Sunday afternoons. His sense of humor and wisdom will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, DeBorah; his children, Kenneth Jr., Krissie, and Kelly; his grandchildren, Courtney Coleman, Cierra Coleman, Bria Coleman, and Bynae Coleman; a host of great-grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother George Coleman, sister Diana Coleman, and his parents Clyde and Ernestine Coleman, as well as two beloved grandchildren, Jerrin Walton and Darion Page. A Memorial Service honoring Kenneth’s life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
